i hate!!! Gamestop i dont what is with the gamestops in NY LI but they are all just plan rude and stupit trust me i know and there a rip off for trade in if any ever wants to trade something in for cash or store cridt dont go to gamestop try to sell it to a friend or on criglist i usly go to playntrade the give me 3times more than gamestop
Yeh if you preorder from gamestop do it at the actual store not online Unless you dont mind the wait…. Online is always slow and they never get it to your addy till 3-5 days late lol. Thats my experience.

Just a quick little “criticism,” hope you take it lightly and in stride. Technically, the proper way to say it would be “GameStop and me.” Remove the other party and say it to figure out how to say it right.
“That’s something she did for my wife and I.” – > “That’s something she did for I.” Is wrong. Change it to, “That’s something she did for me.” So it’s “That’s something she did for my wife and me.”
support your local game store. they still exist. go find the one near you.
I understand your problem except its Best Buy. I went in to Best Buy to pre-order Infamous 2 one month before its release. On its release date, I went in with the receipt & they asked “is you name John?”. I then reply saying no. It took them 30 minutes to realize that they sold out! And at the same time, they were joking with their friends! I walk out of the store mad pissed like you & they next day they had it. Next time, pre-order online.
dude kane turner is the fucking man! altho i havent had any personal problems with gamestop, i do have problems with their buisness model and theyre destroying the game industry.
i realllly wanted this game for christmas, but i didnt get it cause my mom couldnt find a copy of one. then in like february we we to toys r us to go borthday shopping for my cousin, i decided to look at the games looked around, we were bout to leave and i forgot to look at the cabinet with games in it, and i found one showed my mom and she got it forr me :]
wow im mket this one employee at gamestop the other day who is still holding a copy of ocarina of time for 3ds for a guy who is in the military oversees he isnt selling it hes holding it till the guy gets back. thats soo nice of him he could be like most GS employees and sell it but hes not
when kingdom hearts 2 came out 5 years ago i pre-ordered it. The day it was released they called my mom and we went to pick it up. i was 10 btw. sadly that gamestop closed down 2 years ago. that was the only gamestop were they respected the customers. the guy who was working there gave free pre-orders if you beat him at street fighter. too bad that guy was a pro.
this is why I only do preorders through Amazon. The game is shipped to my door the day it comes out, and the best part is not having to deal with stupid clerks.

I sympathize with what you went through. I’ve had crappy service at GS before too like buying the last game on the shelf only to find out that it’s been opened and scratched after the purchase.
I’ve also been laughed at a few years ago when asking if they still had keyboards for the PS2.

I’ve had quite a few issues with pre-orders. I ordered wrath of lich king a year before it came out and they lost my pre-order. Ordered Cataclysm 6 months before and they changed t he store i was to pick it up at

I can relate to gamestops BS as well. Preordered Ghostbusters to get the free T-shirt……..go to pick up the game and the guy just hands me the game, and I say where the free T-shirt and and the guy selling me the game has no clue what I am talking about, I will leave at that but it truely shows what gamestops all about.
i know what you mean i went to buy the original assassins creed from gamestop the guy at the register flat-out laughed at me saying why do you want to play such a terrible game so i tell them i want the damn game and i had to argue with them for 10minutes before the guy finally let me buy it and on the way out i realized there was like a million stickers on it and i was like what the fuck and asked the guy for another copy and sure enough they were all like that now i no longer go there
