The Heartbreak Kid(hbk)
While itâs sad to see summer go, fall brings many great things â in particular, all the best movies start to be released in anticipation of âOscarâs seasonâ. Normally these are heavy and sophisticated pictures â but every so often a great comedy gets released around this time. âThe Heartbreak Kidâ is one of the funniest movies of the year, and itâs about to come to a theater near you on October 5th. Think Farrelly Brothers, Ben Stiller, and his always hysterically funny dad, Jerry, and ever so many more talents. Donât miss âThe Heartbreak Kidâ if you like comedies, itâs sure to be a classic.
It wonât surprise you to know that Ben Stiller lands in a world of trouble right from the start. He falls in love and rushes his new flame to the altar with his fatherâs blessing, before taking the time to really get to know her. He âthe last single man standingâ of his friends and itâs time to do something about it. He meets the âperfectâ woman â and sheâs ready and willing to marry him. Sheâs beautiful, sexy, fun, and best of all sheâs totally into him. Flash forward to the honeymoon and youâll soon learn just how big a mistake he made.
Oops!
Yeah, too late Ben as Eddie learns the cold hard truth. Lila the Incredible turns out to be Lila the Completely Insane. To top that off, Eddie meets Miranda, who really is perfect for him and he for her. What to do, what to do? In the always amazing Ben Stiller fashion he stumbles and bumbles his way to finding a solution. If youâre already a fan of Ben youâre probably laughing just imagining this plot; if youâre not this movie will convert you. No one plays the clueless nice guy quite like him.
