I must say I disagree with you at 4:45-5:40. Granted, having a song by Owl City in an owl movie seems a bit cheesy.
But I will close my case by saying that amazing Adam Young is in NO way anything like Justin Bieber.
He writes songs from his heart for his fans, and not to create a legion of teenage freaks that worship him.

I didn’t particularly care for the movie, but these guys are quite annoying in their “oh yeah, we’re soooooo raaaaaad maaaaaaan *air guitar*” sort of presentation.
Still, I watched the whole video, so that says something, I suppose.
i agree that they should have explained moon-blinking and flecks more thorougly, but if you read the books you’d know the flecks are just strong magnets that mess with the small amount of metsl in an owl’s brain and gizzard(where owls feel thier deepest feelings and “hunches”.) It acctually took Kathryn about 3-4 books to acctually explain this and make sure everyone knew. i have no idea why i took the time to write this.
ive watched this movie in 2D and it was stunning

well there was a lot of information, but it explains it pretty well, except for exactly HOW the metal flecks effected the owls, but i just accepted it for how it is.
altho i thought owl city in the movie was kinda funny, but i still agree with them about it
you have to read the books first… Its just like Harry Potter, you have to read the books otherwise you don’t have a clue whats going on.

Those magical crystals are supposed to be just flecks of iron that only have the use of shatteering, NOT messing with owls gizzards- and the barn owls aren’t supposed to have yellow eyes, either, neither are they supposed to have crow feet (three talons in front, one in back.) X3
lol, its not that sudden that the brother(kudd) became evil. From the beginning he was jealous of Soren being better than him, after they were kidnapped, it seemed that Kudd had a thing for that Pure one, Nyra. He respected her and that’s why he followed her….In the movie anywayz…In the book it was totally different~
It’s a nice song, but it didn’t fit in the movie.

way to go like 20 levels too deep into this movie. awesome dark comedy, they just missed it. Laughed like crazy the entire time. great film. love what happened to his devout muslim brother. one of the best actual notes about real life in the entire film
Okay, none of the three guys knows a lot about movie. It’s a black comedy, not the most “black” that I have seen, but we see the “black” part near the end. The guy in the left is somewhat getting the jokes and pointed out interesting thing from the movie.

How ironic that one of the many elements I took from this film was of characters fed beliefs that did not quiet understand.
Satire, intelligently crafted, well played with believable characters in plausible settings & crammed with pathos too. At least there was some appreciation Morris’s fearless individual style.
The guy on the right is going on as if it’s meant to be some beautifully written novel with some kind of lovey story converted into a film. He doesn’t have a clue and needs to wake up. It’s a sodding comedy and a dam good one. They’re just a bunch of divas, the guy on the right is going to go home and have a wank over his two mates while getting a manicure and having the Spice Girls story read to him. The other 2 guys had more realistic views on the film though.
