10, I didn’t read the book but I did understand it really well the acting was amazing and although the scenes seemed familiar I loved the movie as a psycological horror

amazing movie! 9/10 stars though because it’s a little hard to understand what is going on at the end.. unless you are really into the movie… if your not somebody who can stick with the dialouge very well, i would not recomend this video for you. otherwise great movie… all characters were played well! =)

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!…………………..looked over to my missus within the first 8 minutes and said…”i bet hes one of the patients”……….its not suprising this film was pushed back……….its rubbish thats why!
the quote makes sense but it doesnt make sense at the same time i mean if my wife drowned my kids i’d make sure there were evidence that she had done it but FUCK i’d shoot her in the head till the clip was empty. the thing is back in the 50′s there wasnt as much shit to prove her guilty of drowning her kids (video camera, camera, forensic science advances) so i guess everyone assumed he killed his whole family. i wouldnt send anyone the an institution for killing there wife in that respect
he says “would you rather live as a monster or die as a goodman” this meant would andrew live his whole life in that mental institution knowing hes andrew and being viewed as th emonster who killed his wife, or he could pretend to be teddy the good federal marshal investigation the island. so he had to the choice. since he was still pretending to be teddy in the last few minutes he decided to die as a goodman. & when they walk off with andrew/teddy there ready to kill him/ preform a labotomy.
but then he starts to realize nothing makes sense and finally he understands hes andrew leatus (the fake charactar in his mind who supposedly killed his wife) as u can see he made up several characters to cover up what he did. you probably got confused towards the end when he confessed he was andrew but then suddenly he was at the stairs acting like teddy again & then they take him & walk with him somewhere. so ur asking urself, does he know hes andrew? is he pretending? yep hes pretending.
FOR THOSE WHO DONT UNDERSTAND THE MOVIE: (DONT READ IF U HAVENT SEEN IT)
the movie is about a guy TRULY named andrew leatus who had a wife who killed his kids so he killed his wife. so he got put in the mental institution. he is patient 67. he created a fake charactar in his head named teddy. he cant stand being viewed as a psycho who killed his wife so then he creates this persona. he is the most dangerous one. so they let him act like hes the marshall & go around looking for a patient

ashame this movie did not make its budget and that is what most people care about so it did not get the attention it needed after the release
@xheartlessx3 me too, i know it relates to his life and all, but some stuff was just stupid and most of the movie was just someone turning on the kid for a few minutes.
very sophisticated, a lot of emotional conflict, those on the more primitive side should stay away. if you shield your child from depressing things and well …reality… then it is not a good idea to take them to see this.

I didn’t like this movie, my 7 year old daughter was on shock when the arm cuts offs and couldn’t sleep the whole night, it was very violent and dark.. not a movie for kids..
