I beat the entire game several times. Cat Scan took so long it wasn’t even funny. It got blown up and It was stupid. I was pissed. The ending cut scene was sad.
This game sucks ass in comparison to Macross Frontier series for the PSP

robotech battlecry is a cool game because I like to fly and shoot at zentreadi pods in the game but the level im stuck in is level 3 mission 1
@DensukeMifune21 yeah I got so raged on that mission and miraculously passed it one day but then I got stuck on another mission where I had to resque the tomahawk pilot stranded and guys came from everywhere! I tried everything but it does not clear the fact they made allied npcs so damn fragile, it’s how the cat’s eye mission got so annoying! the plane is damn fragile!
ok i did passed the cat’s scan mission, it was SO FUCKING ANOYING, i still dont beleive how i cleared it, i was 7 years ago, and still dont beleived, i got stucked on a mission where u have to chase some escape pod on the earth *not the one in space, thats first, the on im talking is almost at the end of CH 4*

I actually beat the Cat Scan mission on its hardest difficulty, but I cannot blame you for not beating it. It is a hairpullingly frustrating level. Hate that damn level.
Actually….you can brake in gerwalk mode. Instead of pressing left or right for that mode (I forget which it was), you can tap down for “hover mode”…..puts you in Guardian, but you don’t constantly move forward. Very useful.
Easy to miss, though. I think it’s in the manual.
You know I always wished i had played this game but i could only afford to buy the GBA version which did have max sterling in it and you could play as him which really helped the mourning of lost chance.
trial by fire was way harder then cat scan but you can see it as more of a continuation of cat scan. it took me 5 times to beat it, again you got to stay sort of close with the cat eye and rape the decoy as well as follow it down into the atmosphere which will cause you to loose track of it in the heat of battle. you are all alone in this one. there are also a few much tougher enemies that are quite fast and can dodge your missiles, rape the decoys and keep up with the cat eye
Cat scan was really easy, you stay in Fighter mode and rape the decoys, remain around the cats eye (but not too close), only use your guns because when you use your missiles you diminish the amount of decoys you have (and it takes forever to regenerate), you need to attract their missiles from hitting the cats eye by using the decoys. fly around using your guns to take them out and then you should be in the clear. i did it only with two tries. first time i forgot about the decoys.

OMG I REMEMBER THAT MISSION CATS EYE!!! i was 7 AND i remember the trick was to stay away from teh shuttle because the enemies go after you not the shuttle
i have this game, whn i 1st played it it was a bitch at the cats eye but on my recent playthrough ti only took a few tries
dude, Have you ever played elite or privateer? those were the most revolutionary of any time as they were the first free roaming games ever and everything has just been copied, but yeah that cats eye mission was retarded. I did beat it… But it took me four hours and lets never speak of it again lol.
