Nokia Lumia 800 review

A review of Nokia’s first Windows Phone. The Lumia runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, and it bears a great similarity to the Nokia N9. It has a polycarbonate casing, a 3.7″ AMOLED display with 800 x 480 resolution and an 8MP camera. It runs on a 1.4GHz Qualcomm single core CPU with 16 gigs of storage, and it has HSPA+ 14.4. This is the Euro version and it’s GSM. A US version be out later. It has the Zune music and video player, IE 9 web browser (no Adobe Flash), and full PIM and MS Office mobile software.

  8. Can some one please tell me where to find one of these phones to buy before it comes to here in the US

  9. The N9 just looks better overall. The capacitive buttons on the Lumia take away the screen real estate that the N9 utilizes and MeeGo OS is better fit for the overall hardware experience of the N9 design. With that said, I own an HTC Radar 4G WP7 device and love WP7, I also love my Android G2X as well as my iPhone 3gs (yes, old school), and Nokia N9. However currently, I’m using the N9 because it stands out the most and people constantly ask me what it is. Hope all the best for the Lumia.

  10. the only thing stopping me from getting this is ive invested so much into iphone and apps and they dont transfer

  20. Hello, I used to be a Nokia user and now i’m a bb user and i am planning to get this phone. There are several questions i would like to ask. 1) How heavy is it compared to BB Curve? 2) how is the 3g compared to BB ? and lastly. is this phone good if i only use it for texting, browsing the net and little bit of gaming? Sorry if i ask a lot of question, i’m just concerned. and also does it have free games?

  21. @superjesselle You need to install the Zune software to sync Apps/Music/Etc to Windows Phone. You can sign in to Zune easily using your Windows Live ID.

  22. Can the camera sound be turned Off? Also how can i download apps on mktplace? Do i need to set up an account first before downloading?

  23. Why doesn’t anyone review the cyan version? It looks a lot nicer, in my opinion.
