Skylanders review part 4. Classic Game Room reviews SKYLANDERS PIRATE SEAS, level 24 in the Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure game and part of the Skylanders Pirate Seas Adventure Pack that comes with the Terrafin action figure. Pirate Seas Adventure Pack comes with a well detailed pirate ship that the player sits on to the Portal of Power which activates a new level with Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure. A pirate ship suddenly appears at the docks and player replaces pirate ship with a Skylander figure and plays the level! Pirate Seas level is somewhat disappointing compared to the rest of the game and you’ll find yourself playing a remake of the Memory card game half the time. Some new items are found and players can upgrade their Skylanders as they crush enemies, etc… CGR Skylanders Pirate Seas video review shows gameplay from Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure within the Pirates Seas level.

Darklight Crypt is a MUCH better add-on overall. Its a real level, longer, has both a real world and undead switchable world to explore in real time. This one is short, I like MEMORY but it’s very easy and its unbelievable how many times they have it in this game. You go through at least 10 of them. They get harder but you get more time, which takes away any difficulty. Oddly enough I thought the 3DS Pirate Seas is better then the 3DS Darklight Crypt. But they are entirely different levels

HATS! This game can now compete with TF2.
You can spam the treasure chest from this pack in the Ruins, or whatever you call the central hub of the game. Just talk to somebody to reset the item. It nets you about 250-300 gold each time, but I’m not sure if it works on any console but the Wii.

@Earther001 I’m not too sure if you can use the chest and swords more than once throughout the entire game, but I’d imagine you can.
@Earther001 The Pirate ship unlocks the additional mission when used in the main skyland hub, but during a story chapter the ship deals 999 points of damage to all enemies on screen, BUT it can only be used once per chapter, the ghost swords appear above your Skylander and attack enemies and they last about 1-2 min(s), the pirate chest is just an additional chest that contains gems and trophies to up your currency, but you have to seek it out because the chest is buried in the chapter.
