Classic Game Room reviews the ATARI 5200 TRAK-BALL controller for Atari 5200 which works with games like Centipede and Missile Command (also Defender, Space Invaders and a few others). This old school piece of videogame hardware is a tank with a track ball in the center and buttons on the side. Plugs into Atari 5200 video game controller ports and works well with Centipede and Missile Command.

    Were there many/any exclusive 5200 games? Seems like everything I’ve seen on it are arcade ports or upgraded versions of 2600 games.

    i remember playing the Centepeed game but i dont remember where and in what system it sure was not the 5200 but i cant remmember i was like 3-4 when i played it….

    @Croxyndul, The system itself was overpriced and unreliable, but overall it was a good game console. The telephone controllers are rhinoceros shit though.

    I loved Vanguard with the original 5200 joystick, found it extremely playable. I’m not sure why everyone is a cry baby about it. Worked very well with Pole Position too. The 5200 gets a lot of unfair negative press. You know what controllers were real garbage, the original 2600 ones. I went through a bazillion of them and nobody ever seems to point that out. Pure junk.

    I’m a huge fan of michael, but I must agree, when I watch the DVD , i ALWAYS skip earth song, It’s not stupid, it has a very powerful message, but it is boring :l
