Well 9 got quite bashed here, but many of the reviewers praised it quite highly.
In my opinion it’s the depiction of the small weak beings put in a much larger and brutal world, and it feels so awful and cruel when one dies.
The simplistic characters and story is what strengthens this. An advanced plot doesn’t fit in.
I got sucked in to the world, and that’s what I’d call a good movie regardless if plot or characters met the right criteria.
i thought 9 was good! it was kind of confusing but i was still satisfied at the end
9 was alright I definitely overestimated it but stunning visuals and the characters were pretty cool especially 8 he was kind of a dick but oh well too short is my complaint thus the half-ass story they needed more time i think
Ok, they choose to reference “Underworld” for Kate Beckinsale’s earlier work? Does NOBODY remember her portrayal of the virginal Hero of “Much Ado About Nothing” as directed by Kenneth Branagh? *sigh*

It was cool to look at and the story was passable but what annoyed me the most was that it seemed the director(s) told the actors and sound workers that nothing was allowed to go above a whisper.
The theater’s display area for it was more fun

“She has a lady friend that dances like she’s on a very tall Nordictrac” I remember that dance scene in Basic Instinct lmao.
At the end, Brett wasn’t saying “dangogidang” three times fast. He was saying “Dame Judi Dench”.

It was really cool visually, and you get really interested in the universe. But the plot and characters fall flat. (Except for 3 and 4; they were adorable).
