I played every one of Rare’s games in the 90s, I still have them all, but don’t kid yourself, they don’t age well because they’re just padded collect-a-thons. That wouldn’t be so bad but the act of collecting shit in a game is awful; it requires no real skill, effort, or thought outside of “hey did I already go through here.”
And don’t be naive, of course Banjo’s going to be better than Mario, it came out more then a year after

Yeah,i feel bad too.I was horrified when i saw banjo kazooie nuts and bolts,it doesnt deserve to be called bajo kazooie,its ruining the first two n64 games wich were awesome.But im so happy because they are making a new DKC game:DKC returns.The only problem is that i dont have a wii and i cant play it
But i can bet that the music will not be awesome as the first three games,if it does,then hands down.

@HyperSonicSquall You have a point. All of the 3-D Adventure games were basically collectathons. But even still, you have to give Rare credit for the great games they pumped out. Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, DKC Series, and Killer Instinct to name a few.
No matter. If anyone can save Donkey Kong, it’s Retro Studios. They did one hell of a good job with the Metroid Prime trilogy so my faith in them taking care of Donkey Kong is strong. As for Rare belonging to Microsoft, it’s partly Nintendo’s fault because they sold their shares of it over to Microsoft. Big mistake from what I’ve seen so far.
