Whew, its been a while since my last video, thanks for all the comments! Here are my picks for the ten scariest/most disturbing songs from the super nintendo. I’m going to try out these annotation things so take a look at the video for my thoughts on each song selection. the FF4 music, I actually found it to be touching. To me it’s the sound of a sincere truth being revealed and the realization of one’s Destiny. as the music goes on it’s like darkness being washed away to reveal light, it’s feint but it’s there

Number 2 sounds like the end result of what would happen if you boiled down the essence of the anime movie “Angel’s Egg” into a song.

The scariest part of the Gyigas battle was missing.
Suddenly the whole breathing, electronic beeping stops and a glockenspiel start to play a calm, sweet tune. After all that scariness, VERY unsettling.
Then everything breaks, the electronic beepingg goes haywire, it gets loud, and you sit and whimper.
I bet I’m scared of the dark since I played Earthbound and Secret of Mana when I was a kid, and listened to both the creepy music of both games when I was young enough for it to affect someone with an overactive imagination.
the 1 at 2:47 sounds familiar. a bit like witchyworld in banjo-tooie.
Zelda, Chrono Trigger & Super Metroid were the best games for Famicon.

I’ve finally found that Nightmare song all these years. The one that made me not want to go into the sanctuary in Secret of Mana. The Ceremony Song…i loved that boss song, but CEREMONY always scared the shit out of me as a kid. Every time I hear Malaysian music and those gongs, it kind of reminds me of it. Lunarians was always awesome.

I was hoping the final battle music in Earthbound was in there. That music is freakin’ haunting!! And it only gets even more creepy when Giygas gets weaker. Almost as if he’s crying for help or something?
