TMNT – Turtles in Time arcade playthrough part 8/8

Me playing through this arcade game. Only 3 lives lost, though with as rigged as the game is, that’s not too bad. There were some encoding issues with Fraps at some points. This section covers the final fight with Shredder and the ending. Shredder managed to get me once.

  1. This is better than, Super Nintendo!!!!

  2. wow i must’ve put $20 worth of quarters into this thing when I was younger

  3. Is it wrong that it sounds like Shredder’s mooing when he falls off the platform?

  4. YEEEAAA!!! The credits music is “Pizza Power” from Comin Out of Our Shells!!!! (The Turtles Concert!)

  5. @JSSTyger Oh wow, didn’t know that. I never did play the SNES version (and I had an SNES, which is ironic). So both Hyperstone Heist and Turtles in Time console wise had Super Shredder. That’s cool.

  6. “The teenage mutant ninja turtles…have overcome the ARK villian shredder…”?

  7. @ssjup81

The arcade version (1991) apparently does not have super shredder but the SNES version (1992) does.

  8. @samuraikarasu Ironic how Super Shredder was in Hyperstone Heist. Forgot that Turtles in Time didn’t have Super Shredder.

  9. Thanks for tips on beating this guy… -__-

  10. Damn….that motherfucker’s theme is INCREDIBLE. Talking about Shredder, that is.

    WOW!!!!!

  11. i have a doubt about the game, in the snes version raphael is much faster than the other turtles, but he is more weak too, in this arcade version it s happen too?

  13. this kinda has an X-men arcade game feel to it for some reason

  14. Schweet! Thanks for uploading the original shredder fight!

  15. shredders got a lightsaber!

  16. I love how Splinter’s just chillin in the crowd. No one seems to mind anymore.

Also, no Super Shredder? Weak sauce.

Ahh, OP demonstrated the most common misconception people have when it comes to the difficulty of arcade beat-em ups.

The true difficulty isn’t in how hard these gamers are, but rather how patient you have to be in beating bosses. In almost every beat-em up I’ve played, it’s in your best interest not to go running up and wail on enemies but rather time your attacks and sometimes hit and run.

  18. they went through all that for the statue of liberty? lol

  19. thekidzcantfathom

    lol 2:46

  20. rocksteady n bbop???????? where r they

  21. the designers could care less how hard super shredder was on the snes because you didn’t have to pay a quarter every time you played it. Shredder had to be insanely hard in the arcade version because people wanted to keep pumping quarters into the machine just so that they could have the chance to beat him

  22. ah yes im thinking of the snes version where you go in the technodrome and beat shredder then he sends you thru time

  23. Satanicallyfree

    This is the cool turtles.

  24. Satanicallyfree

You never beat the regular shredder in that level though. Just some pizza monsters and he gets pissed and sends you to the prehistoric level.

  25. @Satanicallyfree: i reckon this is super shredder in the arcade version since you beat shredder in the 3rd round of this game before you get sent back into time
