Y LOVE YOU BRASIL INFANCY
I loved this game and the voices of the characters specially Cormano’s voice
“Are you all right ma’am”
“All right ma’am”
This is one them games that is a MUST have for any fan of Contra. Its so freakin’ awesome. I’m still so amazed at that unbelievable SNES soundchip. At times made CD music sound bad. Sunset Riders is a classic and worth every penny. But beware, like all Contra’s, this game can get pretty dang hard!
Yeah, the SNES version is pretty faithful, though it was censored in a few places. The music is actually better than the arcade for the most part.
The Genesis version is so gimped it’s almost a completely different game.
It is missing a few things, but by and large it’s a faithful conversion. The music on the SNES actually sounds better imo.
Wait, you’re right.. nevermind. I read in Gamepro that the game was only 1 player and took their word for it, but after playing the game a bit yeah.. it is 2 player co-op. At least it has that.
It’s right in front of me. I just played through it to see if you were right…you aren’t. You can play 2 players: one as Billy and one as Cormano.
Cormano rocks a plenty!
No there isn’t.
The genesis version has two players. Cormano and Billy. And there *is* a co-op mode.
i remember beating the arcade version with my best friend, than i beat the SNES with my dad. Bob and Cormano FTW!!!!
CORMANO!!! What a man !
I have the pcb, so it’s a blast to play every now and then. I remember playing the SNES version, and it just didn’t cut it for me. I eventually bought one of those home JAMMA systems and picked up the pcb on eBay years ago.
The SNES version is missing some things, but all in all it’s a pretty solid conversion.. the Genesis version on the other hand lacks even 2 players, has inferior graphics and sound and is missing stages.
4 player mode is missing, I think.
I could have sworn that the SNES version is missing quite a bit from the arcade version.
you can say that again, and again, and like one million times again =D
this classic game is still tougher than nails ^_^
dang the intro is way ahead of its time!
great game , is the best game of the arcades times
I use to play alot this game with my brother
I Love this game, when I Remember I cry xD Really, the music its just perfect, I Love this kind of music

The first level music kicks ass!
SNES version is much better though.
