  9. As silly as this soundtrack is, it’s my all-time favorite game soundtrack…not so much for particular individual songs (FF3, Chrono Trigger and DW4 and others had songs better than anything on Earthbound), BUT the overall soundtrack is just so damn unique and likable that it can’t be beat. It’s like they really tried to get about as many music styles into it and nothing they did sucked – was all pretty good and funky and their slower songs were sweet.

  10. Hehe, I remember the first time seeing this game in person, and playing it with my friend who had it. We both defended the game’s quality against another friend who said it looked crappy.
The times when I took the scratch and sniff stickers out of a Nintendo Power magazine and kept them with me wherever I went.

Renting the game several times, buying my own copy, twice, very happily. Gave 1 to a friend, and I still own the other.

Earthbound was an experience, not just a game. Miss those days.

If you haven’t played this game, your video game experience could really use a Cup of Lifenoodles.

my favorite game ever next to smash bros brawl

  13. hahaha favorite thing is “porn”

  14. Unique soundtrack. Now if only Nintendo would stop hatin’ and send over all the OTHER games in the series.

Legal issues due to lots of music on the game that had big parts from licenced songs, have a close of some of the tracks/

  16. I have it on SNES…got the big box and the scratch and sniff and everything. Would just love to not have to dig out the old system.

    what legal issues?

  17. Don’t count on it. There’s a ton of legal issues in EarthBound. Your best bet is to either get it on the SNES, or emulate.

  18. Wish they’d hurry up and put this out on the VC.

  19. Best freaking game ever, closely followed by its sequel Mother 3.

    Itoi is a genius

  20. And that’s why I say the ‘flag’ feature should be removed.

  21. Long story short: because they’re stupid. They thought it had something to do with the TV show called ‘Top Gear’ and removed it when some dumbass flagged it. And yet my Top Gear 1 and Top Gear 3000 videos remain untouched.

  22. Why did they?

  23. That video was removed by YouTube. I actually mentioned it just a day ago in a vid I posted.

  24. Wasn’t there supposed to be a 131st entry?

  25. Porn?
