I enjoy such games that are difficult to figure out with only little hints to help you, I even liked Hydlide quite a bit. But you need to be insane to enjoy this one.

LOL this game makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever!! My sister and I had it as kids, and never did anything with it. Just for the hell of it, we looked up the walkthrough and went through the game and beat it. I don’t see how it’s even possible to beat it wihout that guidance. Well, unless you spend countless days/hours jumping around every nook and cranny, and into that damn vulture…what the hell were these people thinking??
One thing you didn’t mention is the shitty music. After hearing that for more than 5 minutes, I’d go freak’in insane!
Actually there are more vultures in the game that warp you places…. your bullets will go right through them.

Bad news. I just saw that it Super Pitfall is going to be released on the Virtual Console.
LOL, this game might be crappy, but I had so much fun playing it. Never beat it though, and I did always wonder why he flipped out like that whenever he died.

Oh jeez, I certainly remember the many headaches of jumping around to find all the invisible items and warps just so I could finish the damn game! It was my 4th NES game and I bought it because I used to love playing Pitfall 1 & 2 on the Atari 2600.
this game does not deserve the word pitfall anywhere on its case

I remember tryin’ work thru this game back in 1988.. it was hard as f*ck..
(I remember liking the skull graphics they used & those Easter-Island heads that were villains.)
I loved this game so much! Great to look back on after losing touch with it for past 15 years. The way you review the game is funny as shit with the sarcasm! Great post

I have to say I liked Aqualung’s review of this game better as it was more informative. Don’t get me wrong, I think the AVGN is hilarious. I like the AVGN’s older reviews better because he wasn’t so over the top with the swearing.
My only complaint about Aqualung is that he should do more reviews.
I think both this and AVGN’s reviews are equally good.
I don’t think it’s fair to compare the two, because both have different styles of reviewing. AVGN is mainly meant for entertainment purposes, while this review is more straightforward and to the point.
Plus, I love how AVGN thought the red and green Harry “Clones” were the ghosts of Pitfall “Larry” and “Garry” respectively.

lol pitfall this game is piece of a shit a very big piece!! there are so many glitches you fall from a platform the screen starts to glitch and you win… what is this for a shit? and reviewer is shit like this game too what a voice are you consume drugs or somethin else? later freaks…
Rhonda and Quickclaws are characters in the Pitfall segment of Saturday Supercade. Not many people remember this cartoon and episodes are very rare but Rhonda and Quickclaws also appear in Pitfall 2 on the Atari 2600.
Knowing that the girl is actually Harry’s neice makes that one bit in AVGN’s review funnier where he has Harry hump her.

@WCWite yes, it’s lots of fun but mario needs to take a dump afterwards. you need to let him poop as yoshi and use peach as a target for mario’s violence. you see WCwite, sometimes mario gets angry and needs to take it on that frickn girl he keeps needing to rescue. dont forget to get luigi a gun to shoot mario. luigi has some anger too. but don’t set up mario or luigi for counseling because they have a bad history of shooting the counselor and drinking their blood. and he also tortures yoshi.
