  1. Great video! I remember being ‘blown away’ by the first 5 seconds if Star Fox. Awesome stuff!

  2. @TheEMUreview Do you have a video with just your intro?

  3. Lots of interesting detail, thanks. Jez (Jeremy) San was something of a legend in early-to-mid Amiga gaming thanks to Starglider and Starglider 2. You might want to have a look at the sequel to see the similarity in polygonal graphics with Starfox.

  4. wow, now thats an informative video jason =D i like it!

  5. i think they also used the chip for street fighter alpha 2

  6. Vortex has an amazing soundtrack!

  7. @TheEMUreview well you pretty talked about all the snes games they had chips on so just wanted to throw in the last one, still great review, know more about the fx than ever

  8. @SNESosT Good thing this was a review on the “super FX chip” :)

  9. There was this one chip you forgot which was the SA 1 chip which only came out on a sfc game called Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius which would allowed voice on the game.

  10. thanks for the entertaining information!

  11. Really cool review, very intriguing…you’re like some sort of history teacher. Have you thought about becoming a professor? lol!

  12. 8:05 Vortex… the lasers look familiar… Starfox single laser????

Did you know there was going to be 3-D Mario game using the FX2 Chip? Well, the switched it over to the N64 because even the powerful FX Chip couldn’t handle the type of game ideas they wanted to use. Can you guess what that game is known as today? Super Mario 64. But it would be kinda cool to see a sprite-based Mario run around in environments remenicent of DOOM. Only Mario-ish not with a bunch of alien demons from another dimension running around, of course.

  15. Man your show is Awesome the music the knowledge i mean not many people would go in depth with the super fx basically because they don’t really know about it and i learned a lot about from this vid you just earned your self another subscriber

  16. @TheEMUreview No problem they need some video game knowledge anyway xD

@dilliot2k It’s almost impossible to find any breakthroughs because we’ve already stretched out all the limitationas and possibilities as much as possible. Now if one of them could find some like..eh..let’s say..virtual reality technology, then THAT would be a major leap. However, I think the cost and even the lack of interest the companies would assume would never really let VR technology see the light of day…yet.

  20. I wish ninento would make huge leaps like it used to back in the day.

  21. Crazy knowledge. You made me learn a lot of stuff tonight concerning the FX chip and it’s origins.

Friggin great overview! I didn’t know about those other enhancement chips. Well done boss.

  23. I honestly can’t believe you have so few subscribers and such a low view count… Your videos not only rock in terms of narration but also their production value is out of the roof and easily could be picked up by a local TV channel and marketed as their own bringing you some money in exchange. Excellent work and great knowledge of the subject! Once again, I’m impressed! ^__^
