I didnt like this game for two reasons 1. It just didnt intrest me as well as zelda even tho I didnt play Zelda much. 2. I think that the diffuculty was unessecery they could have said there were secret walls and stuff so it added to the toughness.
It’s nice that you gave the game another try. The game IS influenced by Zelda, but it’s definitely not just like Zelda.
The only true thing that is exactly like Zelda is the hearts, having 3 power ups with your main weapon, and the name entry screen.
Zelda was a great game, and Startropics was made by it, they’re both top down games, which is why they’re so a like. It would be like saying every top down is a rip off of zelda, or RPGs are a rip off of the first RPG. They’re the same genre.
Star tropics really needs a sequal to this exact game, not so much the 2nd..
Color, Controls, and Story line is what makes a game a great hit. Imagine how great this game could be on the wii.

StarTropics is pretty damn challenging, but you can’t play it like an inept child and act like that counts against the game.
