SNES “glitchfest” Super Mario All-Stars – SMB3 – 1/8

Taking a break from the usual goal of pure speed, Genisto instead decides to break Super Mario Bros 3 from the Super Mario All-Stars pack. This run demonstrates programming errors, abuse of the game engine and commits suicide in ways most people have never even considered. Mario plays through all 8 worlds in a fashion similar to a warpless run. Taken from tasvideos.org

Part 1 of 2. Review of the Sega Genesis STREET FIGHTER 2 vs. SNES STREET FIGHTER 2… Classic Game Room starts a war! A 16-bit conflict between the Super Nintendo video game console and the Sega Genesis video game system. Street Fighter 2 by Capcom is one of the greatest fighting games ever made and single handedly brought people back into the arcades in the early 1990′s to battle each other in this smooth, stylish 2D fighter. Although SNK and other companies had some fighting games out there, it was Street Fighter 2 that made the biggest splash. Consequently it was ported to the leading game consoles of the time, the Sega Genesis (or Sega Megadrive) and the Super Nintendo SNES. Although they are very similar on both game consoles, there are subtle differences between the two that are fun and interesting to point out in this informative head to head comparison review. Graphics are slightly difference, sound is very different and fortunately the gameplay is similar. Are you a Sega Mega Drive fanatic or an SNES fanboy… doesn’t matter. We can all agree that Street Fighter 2 is awesome and that we’re all waiting eagerly for Street Fighter 4 from Capcom. Will Street Fighter 4 see a revival on any Sega game consoles or the Nintendo Wii? Will is be the supreme fighting game on the PS3 Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 game platforms? Who can say, but this look at the 16 bit era is a lot of fun and Street Fighter 2 from Capcom gets a great review from Classic Game Room. Check the

I have the GBA version, I pressed B, A, and left, and I started to run, without moving, so I pressed A again, and I jumped, and I started to fly randomly. Then Mario randomly got into the MAP screen, and the teleportation animation came, and he was in world 8-castle thing, and I was like “WTF?!” and I decided to play the level, so he started out, IN the ground, and kept falling… so I kept my GBA on overnight, and I saw him with @@ lives, on the world 3 map screen… WTF?!?!?!?! XDD

  5. SuperMarioLink64

7:07 I swear I was there on the actual console version, without any tools, I remember I tried to use the P power-up and see what’s behind that fucking wall, but I didn’t know how I managed to do it in the first place. Eventually I gave up.

  22. OMG! XD I hardly even noticed Dugdrio!

Thanks for pointing the pokemon out. ^_^

  23. Moonrunning is the new moonwalking. Infact, it makes you go faster!

  24. Omfg at 6:28 whos that pokemon

    …Its Dugtrio!!! Trio!!!

  25. mushroom houses can be dangerous 1:40

  26. super nintendo has way better sound quality than genesis

  27. chun li always wins..

  28. @PlanetDeltroy I agree with the graphics being crisper on the Genesis, but I always preferred the sound on the SNES.

  29. @EmeraldWarrior420 You know, growing up owning both systems and Street Fighter for each system, I always felt the same way. Thought the SNES had the superior sound imo. Genesis just had more of the arcade feel, for what it’s worth.

  30. @marric01 but there is a 6 button controller you can buy for it

  31. @xxjpatxx i think he got
    the snes version from
    a thrift store

  32. PlanetDeltroy

The sound is better on the Genesis and the graphics are sharper on the Genesis aswell. But thats my opinion…

  33. they both look and play good

  34. Genesis winnnn!!!

  35. the sega had like 3bottons
    not cool for playing streetfighter

  36. yeah but the genesis version is newer but it sounds like crap. I played both though and the genesis version plays better

  37. MrSegamegadrive

wow, classic games seem really cheap in U.S.

  38. they took out that couple from the guile level because the girl in the couple, if you look closely, is tickling the man’s johnson or his private part… lol

  39. OverruledDood

ORRRRRR……… you can download the roms lol

  40. i think somebody likes chun li …

  41. @M00NDUST
Again, the Genesis version is “Special Champion Edition”. It’s not the same as the arcade’s “Champion Edition”. Why? It’s basically a port of Turbo, as you can see by the included Hyper mode. I’m sure there is no difference, gameplay-wise between the SNES Turbo and the Genesis SCE. Why did they choose to call it Special Champion Edition instead of Turbo? No clue. However, there are videos out there of the Genesis SFII beta called… that’s right, SFII: Turbo.

  42. Sega Genesis Win!

  43. hardrockinsteve123

    awesome comparison

  44. you got 2 different versions of SF2. Here’s the history of the SF2 Remakes…

    Street Fighter 2
Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition (your Genesis port)
Street Fighter 2 Turbo (your SNES port)
    Super Street Fighter 2
    Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Hyper Street Fighter 2: The Anniversary Edition (arcade only)

  45. I have both versions and the difference is pretty marginal. Here’s what I see, the SNES version has more colors, and better voice samples. The Genesis version has less color and muffled/scratchy voices but better control because of the 6 button controller arcade style layout plus smoother d-pad. Their both awesome versions and after awhile playing and drinking some brew it makes no difference anymore. By the way Classic game room dude you are freaking awesome and amusing.

  46. THE GOOD NEWS IS YOU CAN BUY BOTH IN 5 BUCKS !!! ok and a good question is HOW MUCH COST TO PLAY BOTH?

  47. why are you talking about only SF2 lets check out super street fighter 2 where graphics, sound, resolution all sucks and nintendo is more better than sega now lets talk about mortal kombat series in both console ………. ahhh i dont need to explain about MK series you know it all which console has better quality of the series you know it….. MK1 & MK2 look similar of arcade machine but in sega quality of sound and voice really silly.

  48. TheCaptiannaitpac

    4: 50 BLAST PROSSESSING FTW

  49. The graphics on the genesis version are better because the genesis has higher resoloution, but the snes has better sound with none of that gargle the genesis has.

  50. TigerWrathXIII

    SNES hands down
