Ninja Gaiden NES speed run 13:48:29 (Part 1)

This is a TAS I did of Ninja Gaiden for the NES. Footage was recorded using FCEU. Note: All damage taken is on purpose to save time. An exception to this rule can be seen in the last boss fight, where I take damage from the bosses’ head. To my knowledge, there is no way to avoid taking this hit. Another Note: This speed run features no wall glitching, just a straight run through the game. I do, however, wall glitch for fun on the last boss after he has been defeated. There are areas which could certainly be improved on in this run, such as the 3rd boss, which could have been done much quicker, or my fight with Jaquio, in which I couldn’t really get a strong handle on the fight. Overall, however, I am very pleased with this run. I hope you enjoy it.

    Windmill was the most broken move in that game. Get to a boss fight with windmill in your pocket, and it was pretty much a 1 shot.

    so it is safe to say that all bosses on Ninja Gaiden are strapped with dynamite so they can explode when you beat them?? btw VERY impressive speed run!!

    Ninja gaiden is all about reaction, not skill. So running it with tools is practically pointless.

    Could have gone faster in the second half of level 2 had you used the invincibility icon when jumping across all the castle tops.

    i watched this video and it reminded me of the time i played this game being incarcerated due the Necrotizing Fascitis i had at only 9 years old because this game motivated me to do so much (Ninjutsu) and it was the first ever game i actually cried at the end in my own words “im gonna beat this painful s**t and be like ryu but more determined” thank you, i really appreciate you uploading this video, your like how i am a quick elegant ninja ;)
