NES Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde TAS, part 1

This is the first half of a tool-assisted speedrun of NES Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (created with FCEU 0.98.15-rerecording). See the second part at: www.youtube.com I got curious about this game after viewing the review by the Angry Nintendo Nerd. So here is the game in all of its horridness. For the fun of it, I submitted in to tasvideos.org. Needless to say it got rejected, not because the run is bad, but because the game is so horrible. (Please don’t rip this video and republish it claiming it’s genuine play, because it isn’t. It has been created with a NES emulator with re-recording capabilities.     This is wasted effort…no one wants to see a person walking through repeating screens for 30minuites unless u were curious

    To be fair the music isn’t bad. But there really isn’t much to this “game”. Though it is entertaining to watch that convulsing… whatever it is at 1:48.

    This hardly classifies as a Speedrun. Only because you move slightly to the right. And there’s nothing you can do to make it faster… >_>

    No options, no music on/off choice, and no way you can switch the gameplay from Easy, Medium, or Hard. I mean…all there is to choose from the menu is START!!!!!!!!!!

    actually there is a playthrough of this where the onwer claims he’d beat it without continious and saves

    @KirbyY15 I was able to beat the game without, but I needed a lot of continues. It’s probably impossible to beat the game without continues unless you use savestates.

    If this game’s this boring at NORMAL speed, I’d hate to think about how boring it would be playing frame by frame. Nice job.
