Some games you play and enjoy, other’s you simply marvel …
Video Rating: 4 / 5

Excerpt taken from the Jr. Woodchuck Guide book, “Duck Tales is not just one of Capcom’s greatest titles on the NES, but is one of the greatest licensed games ever made.”
Total Carnage was another favorite of mine on Arcade, SNES, and Midway Arcade Treasure 2!! Word Up, and good review lophatjello!! Keep it commin with the videos!!! No Doubt!!! Peace!
Total Carnage was one of the only retro games I owned and it was purely awesome but I remembered that both me and my friend died excessively on Midway Arcade Tresures.
@ZombiePizzaGuy1 ya this game looks addicting, and i love ur username alot
zombie and pizza!!! i love those XD!!!!
that game is unbelievable it’s like heavy barrel but harder and more funny. Have you played Sunset riders thats a great game to review.
@KittySnowene You misunderstand my objection. I don’t care how much he swears. I just think his narrative style is more effective when he’s not unnecessarily throwing around the word “fuck”.
@mrxsive Quit trying to censor the dude.:/
Kinda reminds me of Touhou.
You know, bullet hell?
it reminds me Contra but way more crazy and other stuff
I love that game
Is Midway Arcade Treasure a console or something you download? That game looks like fun and yet hard, no shit lol.
Another question: When you die, is it random as to how you die? (like if you get shot, do u go flying, get shocked then make yourself a suicide bomber, or just be on fire?)
AVGN is better : /
I see that M.O.D.O.K was one of the bosses eh?
total garbidge is what the AVGN would say…. xD
I have no idea why Midway was obsessed with tongues and eyes. NARC also had bosses that spouted tongues and eyes when you killed them
This game works perfectly with some Pantera or Cannibal Corpse !
hvgn, what do u thin about the nes game called gargoyles quest 2? I got mixed feelings about and would like to hear what u think about it?
This game is hard, no doubt about that, but its not quite as hard as you make it seem. You can actually get really good at the game and avoid most deaths, and personally i think this game is way better than smash tv, its just like smash tv but with more weapons, more enemies, and better graphics.
While Altered Beast had: WISE FWOM YOUR GWABE
Smash TV had: BIG MONEY BIG PRIZES! I LOVE IT!
@Corad4 Great example. That and Version M of Castlevania: Haunted Castle are probably the two hardest games I’ve ever played.
The intro SUCKED
I like HVGN. It’s nice to take a break from bad games once in a while to sit and watch him talk about these.
I love AVGN, but it’s nice to take a break from bad games xD
Near impossible without training, the arcade version of Gradius 3, i can’teven get pass stage 3!
I’D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR!
BIG MONEY! BIG PRIZES, I LOVE IT.
I must have wasted so many quarters on smash TV in my day.
I love the “duh” look on the face of your character at the end of the levels. Too funny.
i have no idea what your talking about, total carnage was fuckin sick. you consider this game terrible?? go play hello kitties, wtf
I have a DuckTales movie, and it’s truly magnificent.
@kutegurl67 you like what you like my freind like’shanh montana and he’s 14
@MasterMonsters Eh, say what you will. It’s still better than the other stuff Disney is putting out.
@kutegurl67 i don’t like because Phineas and Ferb it’s bland not funny and boring
@CHAOSin8bits Actually, that’s probably your nostalgia goggles talking. I like Phineas and Ferb because it’s imaginative, fun, colorful, and feels like your traditional Disney Afternoon Cartoon. I like Princess and the Frog because it not only started the grand return of traditional animation, it mixes all the best parts of Classic Disney in a bowl, throws in a few twists for spice, then fries it like a beignet. If you like Classic Disney, then don’t hate these just because they’re new. Move on.
did scrooge mcduck find dracula’s castle from castlevania?
@kutegurl67 and even those suck asshole
Hey could you make an nes collection video?
@kaza12345678 don’t make us explain the joke.
@100rocksinaboxx I know, right? The only really good things Disney has these days are Phineas & Ferb and Princess and the Frog.
I think I played this game, but I don’t remember the scenes…mmm…wierd
OMG! when you put the moon music on it just sent goose bumps down my spine.
truly a memory of my childhood thanks for reminding me how much I loved that game.
@TheReasonWhyGuy glad you agree
@100rocksinaboxx Agreed
i hate disney now.old disney=awesome.new disney=poop
Back on subject…
Duck tales. Woohoo! Damn I loved that game as a kid, and I love it as an adult.
Some studios like Disney or Pixar remain quite excellent and for the most part retain a western flair. Albeit Disney’s been a bit of a letdown with some of their sickening sequels… Cinderella 2 and 3, sequels to Beauty and the Beast? What’s with the raping of childhood classics?
All in all, it’s difficult to find any american base cartoons that don’t bastardize the originals, or that retains an unique personality (Give me back my spicy Rogue and get rid of that emo version!)
The trouble here is that American animation has, in a hope to pander to what they’d imagine being today’s core demographic, attempted to imitate japanese animation, losing their own identity in the process… I’d like to present you Totally Spies for exemple, that godawful excuse for animation.
Some strike it well, like the Powerpuff girls, applying some of the stylings of japanese art but remaining predominently western in style, making for a refreshing visual genre.
@DragnSly
Not true. There’s quite a lot of us who do still look at american cartoons. And this comes from a pretty big anime/manga/videogame fan…
it’s just that… American cartoons are letting me down. I’ll count CG in it as well for the sake of being consistant with the term animation or something like that. The latest Iron Man is a rip-off of the old days Spider man. The latest Spider Man is generally uninteresting. X-men has… Logan the loner as the leader?
And they ruined Rogue! …
