Final stage in Cybernator, a decent game in its day on the SNES made by Konami. The game is on the tough side, but the hardest part is getting to aim the damn laser properly with those poor controls.
The Holy Grail of unreleased SNES prototypes. It was truly a shame this game was not released, it shows just how much diference the SFX-2 chip was in relation to the original SFX chip. It was much later that the knowledge of this near Gold cart was confirmed, being dumped and analyzwed by the ZSNES team, until it was eventualy made playable. Soon after, AGTP released a english patch to the game, that also removed the debug features (such has the onscreen FPS counter). Most of the ideas of this game were then moved to Starfox 64 / Lylat Wars and even today, as I received my Starfox Command for DS, I recognized the real time strategic map screen. I wish they would implement the transforming AR-Wings into mech thingy in future releases. Ill just have to patiently wait for the Wii version of Fox & crew next adventure. Video made it to GoNintendo: gonintendo.com Big “Heya!” to RMC from me.
Video Rating: 4 / 5
Stara dobra gra.W młodości byłem mistrzem tej gry.
This game is still one of the best Snes Classics to date. Music is still hella tight from Konami n Crew. haha funny thing is the end credit music is simular to Dracula X. OPus Corp made some dope tunes
this game is great
lol almost like votoms, but this one can fly
2:06 this shit is advanced has funnels xD
btw great game it rocks is a pretty darn good gameplay and he didnt use the aim lock button
Didn’t this game have multiple endings depending on how you played out some of the middle stages?
how did you filmed it with good quality?
why do u keep firing teh laser at the boss when its not hitting anything.
shutup nerd
the metal warrior baddies were the axis.
Dont know what your argument was in the first place mate, but this was one of the most hardcore yet enjoyable games i ever owned for the SNES. And yes, the SNES was way better than the Genesis (and yes i did own both). Lets see the Genesis try to run something like Killer Instinct or Starwing.
The SNES is still one of the best games consoles i ever owned.
nobody agrees with me. They only agree with stupid Genesis fanboys who believe everything they hear, and stupid RPG gamers who don’t know a good game when they see it. Super Nintendo had a lot of action games on it but nobody knows it does because gamers are so fricken retarded that they can’t see what is right infront of them. I’m tired of explaining to people what they should know by observing things by themselves. They never use their eyes. They rely entirely on what other people tell them.
like 5 cents
I’M SURE WOMEN WIL LIKE THIS STAGE.
Like with Metal Warriors, I rented this game and got to the last boss and never beat it…oh well.
I think it’s funny how the enemy in the game is called “The Axis” but the flag they use is the European Union’s, lol. And this game came out before the EU was really fashionable.
I love how all the little people run around and try to shoot your mech. I remember the game manual described your gun as “The three-peater, also known as the ‘arrrghh!’”. lol.
On Ebay who knows?! As far as retail games stores run by corps -GameStop- they don’t buy them. However my small mom and pop shop (Game Xchange) pays out 25 cash or 35 store credit. We’re one of the few stores left that base game prices on quality, not popularity.
The game’s a lot easier when you use the left shoulder button to keep the gun aimed in the same direction while you move.
same here lol
i still have the original game of this, the SNES cartiridge, wonder how much it would sell for
wow the game looks awesome
Damn that ship was fucked up by the last stage
The game was actually made by NCS, it was only published by Konami, and only published by them in the states, a different company handled the Japanese publishing. The original (Assault Suits Valken) was way cooler, it had character portraits during the scenes with dialogue and a suicide.
the reason it never got the love contra did, is because the name of it is cybernator lol
I don’t have a clue. I’ll check it out and if I find anything I’ll holler
Wasn’t there a reamke or something? Or maybe I’m thinking of metal warriors.
looks like Starfox Command… but this one is for SNES
Wish they could release this on Virtual Console.
I’m actually glad that this game was never released. Why? It’s too damn disappointingly short. I beat it in 45 minutes on my first run.
its hard to believe that this game was canceled but some how saw the light of day.
@DhonnEmrys because the N64 was out and they made star fox 64 instead?
im pretty sure this game was remade and is now known as star fox command on nintendo ds except they changed some things when they made it for ds.
Nintendo, if Starfox is one of your signature series then start treating it like it is one. You guys treat this series like crap and it deserves better. NOT releasing this game in the US was a horrible mistake
This is…an amazing game. Especially for the Super Nintendo. And like littleboyred1 said: WHY THE FUCK WASN’T THIS RELEASED?!
Why is everyone griping? Yes it was cancelled, but this is essentially Star Fox 64! (the story is different) but honestly… This is impressive, but compared to the 64 version, it pales… Star Fox 64 to this day, remains one of my favorite games.
This would’ve been my favorite game of all time if it was released. The first Star Fox is my favorite Super Nintendo game ever, and my favorite Star Fox game period. I actually didn’t like Star Fox 64 nearly as much as the SNES one. I really hated how they took a “Saturday Morning Cartoon” approach with the english character voices instead of gibberish, and corny music. The SNES Star Fox had a true epic “Star Wars” feeling to it, especially in the music department.
Should have released this after Starfox 64 on n64 as Starfox 64 2.
If StarFox 2 released, it would’ve changed the entire course of the Starfox series! Fox and Falco would look different to this day, Falco’s Arwing would be red, the design of the game, every StarFox after this would have a map system, there would be more characters, you would have Arwing walkers(Arwalkers?) like in 3:36, the story would be completly different!
Hit y to accelerate
Changes modders need to make:
Add Training and Battle Mode
Have Training Mode have Corneria music
Have cockpits on Arwings at the final cutscene before credits.
Then it will be perfect.
Impressive StarFox! Hehe, it’s stunning how varied the gameplay was, and how compelling the music, story, and graphics were. It’s too bad it wasn’t released.
I can’t find this version of the ron ANYWHERE!
it like command
You can buy a repro cart of this at game reproductions…. but they want $100 for it.
This game was ahead of its time! If it were released, it could have been one of the greatest games on the SNES!
on a side note is it just me or the design of the tranformed arwing walker almost reminds me of the at-st from star wars return of the jedi
man i couldnt beleve nintendo cancelled star fox 2 in favor of the nintendo 64 console this game couldve been a big hit for snes fans and star fox fans alike thank god for emulaters
Textured polygons on the SNES? I’m impressed.
This game is absolutly amazing! I am totally clueless on why it was never released. Its not like its a crappy game. This game is outstanding! It kinda has a Master of Orion feel to it (defending the planet and liberating others) The gameplay is really good. And the walker was a good feel to it too. It definally beats the piece of crap Landmaster. Nintendo really made a mistake on not releaseing this game, they could have made quite a bit of money off of it.
holy shit the ar-wing fucking transformed….why the hell did they not release this game…this almost would have been better than the 64 remake of the original!!!!!!!!
what, why didn’t they release this!!!
