Based on the Xmen vs. Street Fighter arcade machine from 1996, this Sega Saturn version of X-Men vs Street Fighter has amazing graphics, superb gameplay and arcade quality action. This CGR review of X-Men vs. Street Fighter has gameplay from Capcom’s X-Men versus Street Fighter showing X Men vs. Street Fighter game play in HD. This is a Japanese release that was denied to fans in the West. A Playstation version of X-Men vs. Street Fighter is available for PS1 but it was condensed. 5. Anyone know what Wolverine says during his charge attack? I’ve always wondered that.

  6. wow, its like night and day looking at this vs the playstation one, the visuals are just much better on this, and the animation is actually smooth, the Playstation one actually has Animation that appears to be as choppy if not more than the old Street Fighter 2 on SNES.

  7. I freaking loved this game!! I’m not sure about this but wasn’t Spider-Man a playable character in this game? Or a’m I thinking about marvel vs Capcom?

  8. @bluesgurugod lol?

  9. This looks awesome. The cost of obtaining it would probably make it too prohibitive but I can see why someone would be willing to spend the money to obtain it.

  10. Ok Mark, now do a review of Marvel vs Street Fighter, which is basically an upgrade of this game but 10 times cooler and has a new final boss (you still have to fight apocalipse but you’ll scream HAX!!!! when you fight the final boss of this game, trust me, it’s really hard)

  11. @Booine7227 We did have the PS1 port, only that, as mark said it, was not that good compared to this one
Still the best version is the arcade version (faster load times and better colors) so I’d highly recommend to have a CPS2 emulator and this game or if you have the money buy the arcade machine

  12. i loved this game.

  18. What the hell? Damn you Marvel of america!!!! you did not even help make this game you just let japan take over . i mean fuck…america why was japan having all these great ideas bak then??

  19. @dayren0523 Ps1 version is not better than Sat version at all!!!!

  20. “What do you mean ‘no’?” lol

  21. I will admit the Saturn version is much better than the PS1 version. PS1 most importantly did not have the tag out unless you played a 2 player VS game and the two players picked the exact opposite characters. But the PS1 had many great games, many times more than the Saturn, at least in the US market. Even if more games looked like this for the SS, there still would have been many more reasons to buy a PS1.

  22. do a Guardian Heroes review… its a great game for the Saturn!

I used that have this game on PS1, and it was fun as a kid. Can’t say much now, I haven’t played it in a while, and I don’t like fighting games very much anymore, but I can remember loving it back in the day.

  24. At 3:56 the music sound like something out of Valkaryie Profile for some reason

  25. “…Imagine him as a Lexus…” lol
