One of the best things the Castlevania series have is the incredible music, but for some reason the melodic and whistle-able game over tunes don’t seem to get much of a mention among gaming circles. But fret not, here I come to the rescue with a collection of all the Castlevania game over tunes for your listening pleasure. In order of appearance: Castlevania (NES) Vampire Killer (MSX2) Castlevania 2 Simon’s Quest (NES) Dracula 2 The Accursed Seal (FDS) Castlevania 3 Dracula’s Curse (NES) Akumajou Densetsu (Famicom) Castlevania The Adventure (GB) Castlevania 2 Belmont’s Revenge (GB) Castlevania Legends (GB) *Unused in the final game* Super Castlevania 4 (SNES) Castlevania Dracula X (SNES) Castlevania Bloodlines (Genesis) Haunted Castle (Arcade) Akumajou Dracula (Sharp X68000) Ajumajou Dracula X: Rondo of Blood (PCE CD) Castlevania (N64) Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (N64) *No music* Castlevania: Symphony of The Night (PS) Castlevania Chronicles (PS) Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (PS2) Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (PS2) Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles (PSP) Castlevania: Circle of The Moon (GBA) Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance (GBA) Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA) Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS) Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (DS) Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS) Castlevania: Order of Shadows (Mobile) Castlevania Judgment (Wii)

The Summer of Arcade continues this week with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. Re-Shelled is a remake of the classic arcade game Turtles in Time. There was also a SNES version but this remake is based off the arcade version. There are many differences in Re-Shelled from the arcade version. The first noticeable difference is the graphics. The arcade version used sprites instead of 3D Models for the characters. Another big difference that I am not a fan of is the music in this game has been changed from the original Turtles in Time soundtrack. So what I have decided to do is I have added the original SNES music in this video walkthrough. Just in case for those wondering, the SNES soundtrack of Turtles in Time is not in Re-Shelled. This is just a “what if” the snes songs were in the game. I know a lot of people, including myself, were hoping that the snes songs were going to be in Re-Shelled. In this walkthrough I play as Leonardo, with SockHeadx4 playing as Raphael. Donatello and Michelangelo are played by two random people on Xbox Live. Enjoy everyone!
I want one of these as my windows shutdown music, but can’t choose
every version is sooo cool.
Dracula: So ends the great battle.
Circle of the Moon’s Game Over is the most depressing of the bunch.
Dawn of Sorrow is not far behind, though.
Castlevania Chronicles has very interesting music but also disappointing that you lost also
@thapoint09 well Castlevania 3 Dracula’s Curse is like that but so is Dracula X also I dunno why but like I said they should sound disappointing that you lost and start over again
@Segacamp:
Which one?
wow i didnt even kno that there were so many versions of the series and i mostly mean games
I could be wrong but I think the bloodlines game over theme was touch up and used as the theme for one of the areas in on of the newer Castlevania’s. I think it was either SoTN, CoTM, or HoD cuz those are the only 3 I’d probably remember it from anyway.
@Boshi0 XD That made me laugh pretty hard just now.
@ReyVGM I know. I’ve used the fan translations for so long over the years, I forget the official English names.
@Buzda
Yep. But the track is called Divine Bloodlines and not “Opposing Bloodlines”. That was just a fan translation of the Japanese title.
Wow, did CV64 really have “Opposing Bloodlines” playing faintly in the background? I played that game so many times and never noticed it.
@1983parrothead
Damn, too late now.
You forgot Kid Dracula.
omg what’s with the Game Over Theme being….. Joyful? Seriously it should be disappointing that you lost that what most videogame game over themes sounded like
Something about the Super Castlevania 4 is really eerie and creepy, I don’t know what it is though o. o
the old Konami logo was better than the current one
Game Over collections? I doubt it. No other series have as memorable game over songs like the CV series. I was thinking of doing a collection of certain songs from the Mario series, but I dropped it. Way too many games. I might still do it in the future though.
Will you be doing collections for any other series?
I love the Akumajou Densetsu game over because it’s pretty much a “You messed up big time.” song.
great video
thx for making it, it was amazing to hear all the CV game over tracks chronologically
@Emigdiosback Agreed; the demon bones and the crucifix jammed into the ground really did it for me (and an all too familiar sight it was). Though I do have to say the “Dracula’s eyes staring into your soul through the TV screen” ending for Order of Ecclesia looks pretty forboding too…. o.o
Forgot about that one.
Actually there 2, Castlevania II Simon’s Quest for the NES, and Castlevanania II Belmont’s Revenge for the Game Boy, but I’m going to presume you meant SQ, I was just being a smartass anyways. liked the video by the way.
There’s only one Castlevania 2.
2:48 – BABIES! THEY’RE BAAAAABIEEEEES!!! AUUGH!!
i like how the mike player (uncle choi 82) was taking it for the team by stepping on “each and every trap plank” lol good job uncle choi !
Tokka! Rahzar! you forgot your line!
@OmegaVideoification did not notice lol.
@BradRy2
The only downside is that Ubisoft forgot his trademark red hat!
pretty cool that you added the old school music, it really gives more flavor and nostalgic feeling to the game!
WOAH-WOAH-WOAH-WOAH…woah!!!! Are you telling me that in 10 years our freeways are going to be like that…as if.
Why didn’t they use the original arcade music and sound effects. They were so much better.
The Technodrome, Bebop, Rocksteady, and all you speak of are only in the SNES version. this is based on the original arcade version.
It was. You fought the Rat King and then you went into the technodrome and fought Shredder, then he cast you into the time warp where you fought Slash (not Cement Man), then Rocksteady and Bebop on the ship. Everything’s weird now. I still prefer the original. If for no other reason than the time warp happening at the technodrome makes more sense than the random sewer level teleportation.
My favorite part starts at 9:06.
@Saladful This is based on the arcade game, not TMNT 4: Turtles in Time for the SNES.
Could it be that the levels are in a complete different order than in the SNES-version? I think i remember the technodrome-level being before the timewarp.
lol Donny bailed!
This is a good trend to set. I think they should remake X-Men: The Arcade Game next.
Imagine a re-recorded version of Magneto screaming “X-Men, welcome to die”.
Are you talking about the music played in this video? Because this is isn’t the real soundtrack. It was just replaced with the Snes soundtrack by dubbing over the video I think….The REAL music is actually horrible, lol
Wow, this game sounds a lot better with the original music. haha
neon night riders stage looks like a magaman x chaser stage on the bikes. (died a lot)
Ohh! I feel seasick!
Tokka: Master say “Have fun.”
Rahzar: Fun! (chuckles)
Rat King, Bebop and Rocksteady were not in the arcade version. They were in the SNES version.
Hmm… Nice upload.
What if another CO-OP walkthrough was uploaded, with the background music from the actual arcade music from 1991? Or are you happy with the music from the SNES version?
What I am finding weird about this reshelled version is that even though this version is using the Arcade paltform, this version is using the SNES TMNT soundtrack, or something eerily similar to it.
Why not go all the way and copy the SNES TMNT in whole?
Love the LeatherHead Redesign compared the SNES and Arcade one.
Based on the arcade version not the SNES.
But yeah Rat King was a boss in the arcade as well as Bebop and Rocksteady.
