Bought it and played it whole way through first day… love it!
..and love the hagelbreaker for its name
inte ofta en hagelbrakare får vara med
Back when this game came out, I played it constantly, and I saved Super Joe, got his machine gun which was awesome, and got through some of the secret areas, but then it just got waaaay too hard for me. I couldn’t beat it. Then I lost my save file, so I haven’t really played it much since. It’s a great game though. I think the remake is even better than the original, and I have the game’s soundtrack separate from the game so I can listen to those awesome modern retro beats.
you look stupid
fuck you
great game and great video.
the arcade version of the orginal is tittaly different
made in spain
Nes is still the better game, but this was a great remake. It’s a shame I can’t buy it in stores. I hate buying downloadable games, cuz I can’t hold them in my hands but this was a great game and the only arcade game I bought to date. Great co-op by the way. BC back in the nes has a great ending also, i’ll never forget that ending especially after leaving my nes open for 24 hours lol.
Once i get some MS points I’m definitely going to download this, it looks so much fun and the graphics are absolutely gorgeous!
Great Review!

this looks awesome but i don’t buy download only games. i prefer to have a hard copy i can touch and own and share with friends. if your xbox or ps3 is fried or you decide to sell it, you lose all your downloaded games. stupid
@Resvrgam
Yeah most of the gaming companies now are no where near what they once were…..but i have to say capcom is better then most these days.
konami – outsourcing their development to the US
Nintendo – Plays to mom and grandma now
Sony – doesnt know what the hell its doing
MicroSoft……ugh.
Sega – A horrible fall from grace….
Namco – once at the forefront of gaming, now just makes tekken and ridge racer games
Squeenix – FF and DQ thats it.
Looks like fun. I loved the NES version and still have it in my collection.
The arcade version is pretty good too except for being nearly impossible to play through without blowing your top.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a next gen system yet as I stopped after the 128-bit systems.
I still can’t decide which of the current three I would choose from and to be honest I’m not really that impressed with the new systems.
However, I frequently find myself leaning toward the 360.
This is one of the few remakes that actually surpasses the original.Grin did a great job on this.
Yeah, but Grin is gone hopefully Capcom can find some of the developer to continue my highly recommended were been the 2K Games company.
The now-defunct Grin developed Bionic Commando: Re-Armed, not Capcom.
Capcom is a shadow of its former self and this faithful remake’s credit belongs to grin, not Capcom.
Wow, that looks really great. It makes me want to get a Next Gen system. The original version is my favorite NES title, hands down.
I agree. Or even if they had PC download versions, similar to itunes, I would be all over it.
I’ve only played Bionic Commando rearmed. I really enjoyed it.
Nice review man!
I’d love to buy this, and also Mega Man 9. Only problem – I don’t have a current-gen game system, and don’t care to own one.
Kind of ironic you have to be a modern gamer to play these retro-games.
If Capcom would put these games on physical discs for the PS2, I’d gladly pay $30 each.
The Best Thing About Megaman 9 is, it is a nes game
capcom needs to remake strider. maybe xbox live arcade game. i think they need to also make it an arcade /action rpg/ hack and slash. what do you think?
p.s. nice review, also you did a good job with the halloween episode, but i think you need to review resident evil: the umbrella chonicals the same way, but if you have S.T.A.R.S uniforms that might work. also have somebody dress as the tyrant. great review!!!!
i cant wait for the new bionic to come out on the xbox and ps3
wow i used to play this on the gameboy i had no idea that was bionic commando
Games sucked real bad 20 years ago, so it’s actually not a good thing that it’s so faithul
.
We’re spoiled now, and frankly, it’s better that way.
just so everyone one knows there is no coop online
I bought my super nes in Brazil in 1992 that time it used to be imported from USA one year later started being made in Brazil and I still have it and i dont want to sell I really like it and sometimes i play games like mario, f zero, final fight, street fight star fox,etc despite i got a playstaion 3.
@Vyxeria people say Americans are obnoxious
@Vyxeria Well, Ive had the same SNES system for 17-18 years, and it still works PERFECTLY, so I could care less about looks
@misterbearbe I’m pretty sure that’s just the system having problems keeping up. A lot of older systems have that issue.
@SilverMongooseVideos Do you know what the cause might be of flickering graphics? The cartridge is clean but sometimes especialy when a lot of things is happening the moving stuff flickers and the end of the screen has some bugged graphics on it. Thinking its propably my NES needing replacement or something I put wrongly back together.
@misterbearbe Sure does. Have a whole video on it.
@SilverMongooseVideos not a big problem really depends of where and how you keep it I never had it tho it could just been a bad mix of plastic used on that one.. does happen sometimes I guess!
@SilverMongooseVideos
The PAL SNES consoles are basicly a different version of the Super Famicom
they just relabeled it and also, the japanese SF has a much shorter wire then either the USA or PAL SNES
PAL and Japanese Cartridges are the same in shape, they just dont work on an other regions’s SNES
@SilverMongooseVideos Well, it shows more personality than white or black. Heck, the silver chrome on my ps3 is my favorite part about it’s exterior. :/
@Flodder450 Wasn’t sure if that model yellowed as well. Thanks for the info.
@Bloodthr0e Ya man. Too bad they don’t have a purple Wii. That would be awesome.
Purple was really Nintendo’s color on quite a few consoles, huh?
@cesarx435 don’t worry,save up some money and buy one.
Got a snes for €15 yesterday
a PAL version,since i live in Europe
the ony yellowed piece are the controller ports and the panel that says “Super nintendo entertainment system”
i just found mine and i relized why i havent had it it is because i broke the powercable
@SilverMongooseVideos cheers dude!
@TheWorldOfJames You can use the AV cable from a64 or a gamecube. Not the power adapter though.
i just bought a snes but it didint have the cables, but i have an n64, so can i just use the cable from that? is that the better one to use?
thanks dude you helped me with my project for school
@SilverMongooseVideos The American SNES was widely ridiculed for its purple colour scheme, which was probably as it is a girlish colour. Who knows why it looks different in the USA only?
@Vyxeria
But the U.S one was better than European one becuase games had no slowdown or huge borders around the screen like the 50hz PAL one did.
luv your vids
@Vyxeria USA Look’s Like A Toaster And Looks Cooler!
I Was Born In 1986 And Grew Up With An SNES. Those Were The Kick Ass Days. SNES Is Still My Favorite Console EVER. Games today have no soul. Most of them are only good for a rental. Screw these first person shooters too.. bring 16-bit back already for goodness sake.
@cesarx435 maybe,you can buy another,just for 30-70 bucks.not too expensive.
