@thefanningofthebooks Dam i miss this game so much but i just got back from fremont Ohio and theres a place called CC Games it has all the old school game systems and games i got back to the Va yesterday and i bought Donkey Kong Country for $5 I was so stoke I love this game and music i played this level more than any other level this song is the shit we need are old games and old Nicktoons shows back

But the most that impressed me in DKC wasnt graphics,it was the music.And this music would make water levels enjouable.
I hope they use some of these classic tracks in Donkey Kong Country Returns. I STILL play these games on my old SNES.
@CR00K If I remember correctly, I also had a friend who was good at DKC. She, too, moved away to never be seen again. Maybe she would have been my first girlfriend if she didn’t move away. @.@ I remember going over her house a few times after school and playing donkey kong country with her. Oh the memories.

@MariusMMS The ironic thing is that Miyamoto himself thought that this game sold SOLELY because of its graphics, which were indeed groundbreaking at the time. He didn’t like the level design or the gameplay.

@dcarrion21 I can tell you what happened. Humanity turned more violent and started making games of pure violence and these family-friendly games like Donkey Kong was forgotten. Today, many people says that a game MUST have extremely good graphics and details to like them. Graphics and details are just a part of it. It’s like judging someone for the looks. It’s the concept of the game that really matters. Think of it as the personality. It’s the personality that matters. Not looks.
A relative from Germany brought me SNES when i was, i dont know, 8 maybe. I still have it after 10 years.
And DK is my favourite game, this music reminds me of old times.
