This is a TAS I did of Heroes of the Lance for the NES. Footage was recorded using FCEU. Note: All damage taken is on purpose to save time. This game is awful. The story is horrible, the graphics are horrible, the controls are atrocious as well as unresponsive, and I’m sure it was/is a letdown to anyone who was/is a Dragonlance fan. All of these factors played a role in the difficulty of doing a speed run of this game. However, I’m quite pleased with the speed run overall. Enjoy.

Yeah I was a D&D and RPG geek as a kid and when my birthday came around my parents would take me to Toys R Us to pick out a game of my choice. When I saw this on the shelf I knew this is what I wanted. The price tag was $50 and I could of got two games almost for that price. This game was singlehandedly the biggest disappointment of my entire NES career, and that includes 3×3 eyes, Indiana Jones and Deadly Towers

Yes, Pool of Radiance on the NES is my #1 game of all time. My dad let me have the Heroes of the Lance game and when I played it I couldn’t stand it so I made a review of it but too many people were calling me a rip off so I deleted the review.

The music is actually pretty good. But that’s it.
As someone else mentioned, I played Pool of Radiance and thought it was one of the greatest games ever.
So when I played AD&D Heroes of the Lance, I was horribly disappointed.
I tried so hard to finish it, but could only get to the second area(music changed), I had trouble making the jumps and I foolishly fought enemies and would eventually run out of mana.
What a terrible game.
